50 for Tibet: Celebrating One Mountain Culture to Preserve Another.

Donations: Pledge Instructions

One hundred percent (100%) of all donations to The Rowell Fund For Tibet pledged through the 50 For Tibet fundraiser will go directly to the fund. All costs incurred during the 50 state highpoint adventure (including all travel expenses) will be paid for by the 50 for Tibet Team.

What is a pledge donation?
Pledge donations capture the spirit of the fundraiser by allowing you to make a per peak contribution. We understand that there are many worthwhile causes to support. We will prove our dedication to this cause by trying our hardest to put all three of the core team members on all 50 of the U.S. high points within one calendar year. We hope that you will match our dedication by pledging to donate a set amount for each high point we achieve. For example, if you pledge $5 per peak and Team HighPoint succeeds in summiting all 50 peaks, the total donation will equal $250.

How do I make a pledge?
  • To pledge, simply fill out the HighPoint Pledge Form on the website. A member of the HighPoint Team will contact you via email or telephone to confirm your pledge.
  • You may also send a printed or written version of the pledge form and all pledge donations to the following:

The Rowell Fund for Tibet / 50 For Tibet
    1825 Jefferson Place, NW
    Washington, DC 20036

You can honor your pledge by using our secure donation form or sending a check to the above address.
All pledge donations once fulfilled are eligible for our donor appreciation gifts.

How do I follow your progress?
  • You can elect to receive our e-newsletter to receive periodic updates on our progress. If you do, we'll email you approximately once a month to keep you informed on the status of the number of peaks that have been successfully completed, as well as exciting news updates about special events we are planning.
  • You can follow our progress on our blog. There is a blog that each Team HighPoint member will update as their schedule allows. The team blogs will provide information such as news about our success or failure on the summit attempts, last minute schedule changes, insight into the fun and adventure as well as the day to day difficulties involved in a project this size. You may also read comments posted by other followers of The HighPoint Challenge or post comments yourself. The headlines from the most recent blog posts are always readily available on the home page.
